The United States has raised fees for passports. This information was given in a notification given on the official Facebook page of the US Embassy in Dhaka on Tuesday.
According to the notification, the increase in the fee for passports by 20 has come into effect from December 26, 2021.
The U.S. embassy said in a statement that it would "increase the fees for continuing to create one of the world's most secure travel and identity documents."
The passport fee for an adult will increase from 110 to 130 US dollar, the statement said.
And for minors under the age of 18, the passport fee will increase from 60 to 100 US dollar.
The execution fee for a passport application for a minor will be 35 unchanged. As a result, the total fee for a minor's passport is 135.
