Covid-19 News: Traditional Chinese Medicines is Successful for Corona Treatment says Pakistan
Pakistan's health authorities have announced the success of clinical trials of traditional Chinese herbal medicines for the treatment of Covid-19. Made this announcement on Monday.
According to the British news agency Reuters, the Chinese drug was manufactured by Zuxiechang Pharmaceutical Company. It is named after Xinhua Kingan Granules (JHQG). Corona is already being used in China.
Pakistan's International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) has conducted clinical trials of the Chinese drug. Its director Iqbal Chowdhury told reporters, "We have tested patients with different variants of corona, hopefully it will be effective against other variants including Omicron."
Dr. was the chief investigator of the trial. Raja Shah. He told reporters that the drug was tested on 300 patients kept at home. And it will work on mild to moderate sufferers. He said its effectiveness rate is about 72.6 percent.
The test was approved by Pakistan's drug regulator.
